Challenge:

DSPG was a typical door-to-door wholesale company distributing party supplies to dollar stores. As an established company seeing increasing competition, DSPG needed to expand their sales efforts outside of the industry’s usual channels.
Solution:

Pivotal Internet was retained to develop a rock solid ecommerce site that would allow the company to move outside of their establish networks and move product nationwide. Since the nature of their inventory was to shift greatly from quarter to quarter, Porchlight would need to create a dynamic store backend that could easily add and subtract product on the fly.
Results:

Days before the site’s launch, existing sales staff gave their existing client base the option of ordering direct from the new site or continuing to order in person. From the initial sales statistics, clients answered a resounding yes to online ordering, but ordered upwards of 20% more product than they would typically place in person.
